Following one year’s worth of work and consultation, Archbishop Bernard Hebda signed a decree May 26 creating a new set of 15 deaneries—geographical groupings of parishes within the archdiocese—effective July 1, 2026. The new deaneries range in size from nine to 19 parishes and are categorized as primarily rural, suburban or urban.
