The Archdiocese recently met with Clergy Financial Resources (CFR) firm specifically for their tax service division to learn more about their offerings. Most clergy use a professional tax preparer to ensure all uniquities are reviewed and addressed appropriately as the rules often change from year to year. CFR has the experts that specialize in clergy tax law and can assist with filing tax returns as well as provide tax services.

Currently proxy requests received from parishes, not requiring canonical approval, are generally approved within 10 days, if not sooner. As a result of summer vacation schedules, you should plan on this approval taking longer and plan accordingly. The turn-around time to obtain proxy approval during the summer months may double. In addition, the Archbishop and the Vicar General will be unavailable for most of the month of July. Proxies requiring approval during July should be submitted by the end of the day on June 23. Proxies submitted after June 23 may not be approved until the last week of July or the first week in August.
