HR Benefits – Part-time employee health coverage

Reminder: Under the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis Medical Benefits Plan, part-time employees who work fewer than 30 hours per week are not eligible for employer-sponsored health coverage. Part-time employees may, however, review alternative coverage options through MNsure, Minnesota’s health insurance marketplace. Through the marketplace, part-time employees may qualify for lower-cost private individual plans or free or low-cost coverage. Employers are responsible for providing part-time new hires with the exchange notice. Please complete Part B on page 3 with the applicable employer information. The final paragraph on page 3 indicates that the employee is not eligible for coverage.
