The Minnesota earned sick and safe time (ESST) law was updated in the 2024 legislative session. The updates include the rate at which ESST must be paid, ESST application to other paid time off and a few other modifications. An overview of the changes can be found at: dli.mn.gov/sick-leave-changes.
