Pope Francis Names Rev. Kevin Thomas Kenney Next Auxiliary Bishop

Pope Francis this morning named Father Kevin Thomas Kenney, a priest of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, assigning him the titular see of Cunavia.
Bishop-elect Kenney is currently the pastor of the Church of St. Olaf in downtown Minneapolis, the parochial administrator of the Church of Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Minneapolis, and chaplain at DeLaSalle High School.
His episcopal ordination is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, October 28, at the Cathedral of St. Paul. The ordination will be live streamed on the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis’ Facebook page. Please share this invitation with your parishioners.
Archbishop Hebda will introduce Bishop-elect Kenney today (Thursday, July 25) at 10 a.m. at the Archdiocesan Catholic Center in St. Paul. The introduction will be live streamed on the Archdiocese’s Facebook page.
