New OCIA book

The revised Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (formerly RCIA) is now on sale at several liturgical book publishers’ websites. The book may be used as early as the First Sunday of Advent (December 1) and the new OCIA book must be used starting Ash Wednesday (March 5, 2025), after which date the old RCIA book will become obsolete. The new USCCB Norms for the Catechumenate, however, go into effect December 1, 2024, regardless of whether a parish uses the new book yet.
