These surveys provide essential data that is used to make sure our vital records information is accurate and current, and for the statistical reports required by the Holy See, the USCCB, the Official Catholic Directory, the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis Catholic Directory, the Comprehensive Assignment Board, the Clergy Services Office, and the Chancellors’ Office. Priests and deacons survey
Survey open Sept. 10-30
All Archdiocesan priests and deacons will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the annual survey through the Archdiocesan Portal, including detailed instructions for first-time users. Those who completed the survey last year will be able to review the information provided in the 2025 survey.
Parish survey
Survey open Sept. 24-Nov. 2
Pastors, parochial administrators and business administrators will receive an email Tuesday, Sept. 15 to identify staff members who will be submitting this information through the online portal. If there is no response identifying new or existing staff members, the information will not be updated. Please note that each survey taker needs to have their own portal log-in.
Mass Counts
Survey open Sept. 24-Nov. 2
Detailed instructions on completing the Mass counts survey will be sent to parishes to complete the survey through the Archdiocesan Portal. The first weekend to begin recording Mass Counts is Oct. 3-4 and are to be taken at all four weekend Masses during October. The surveys must be completed by Monday, Nov. 2 to meet the publication deadline.
