Keynote speaker: Julianne Stanz
For more than 20 years, Julianne Stanz has spoken throughout the world on the topics of faith, spirituality and ministry, integrating lessons from her Irish Celtic roots into talks, seminars, retreats and writings. Julianne serves as the Director of Outreach for Evangelization and Discipleship at Loyola Press and is a consultant to various committees at the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. At the heart of her life and ministry is a desire to encourage others as fellow pilgrims journeying on the road of life together. The author of such books as Braving the Thin Places, Celtic Wisdom to Create a Space for Grace and The Catholic Parents’ Survival Guide (Loyola Press), Julianne shares spiritual wisdom sprinkled with a dose of Irish hospitality and humor. Drawing from her time in parish and diocesan ministry, Julianne shares: “Each one of us has places in our own lives where we feel God’s presence in a way that stirs our soul. Searching for God is an act of abandonment, a wild adventure where we leave the known for the unknown, the comfortable for the uncomfortable, in short, we step outside of our comfort zones.”
To support clergy and parish staff in their very important work, regular formation days (rebranded as Parish Leadership Days) will be offered thrice-annually (fall, winter and spring) with clear audiences and purpose communicated well in advance. All staff are welcome at Parish Leadership Days.
