Jubilee Year of Hope Opening Mass (Cathedral)

December 29, 2024

Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Cathedral of Saint Paul, St. Paul

On Christmas Eve, Pope Francis will inaugurate the Jubilee Year of Hope at the Vatican and diocesan bishops around the world will follow on the Feast of the Holy Family, December 29. Join Archbishop Hebda and the universal Church during this historic Jubilee year!

What is a Jubilee year? Jubilee years, typically celebrated every 25 years, are marked by opportunities for extra graces through indulgences and the opening of the holy doors which symbolize the pilgrim’s journey of conversion. Learn more at archspm.org/jubilee2025.

The coming Jubilee will thus be a Holy Year marked by the hope that does not fade, our hope in God. May it help us to recover the confident trust that we require, in the Church and in society, in our interpersonal relationships, in international relations, and in our task of promoting the dignity of all persons and respect for God’s gift of creation. (Pope Francis, Spes Non Confundit, 25)
